Lead Fireplace Installer
About The Position
Comfort Solutions is seeking an experienced Lead Fireplace Installer to oversee residential fireplace installations and set standards for safety, craftsmanship, and customer service. The role involves leading projects from start to finish, installing gas, electric, and wood-burning fireplaces, and ensuring systems are installed, tested, and inspected to applicable codes, manufacturer specifications, and company standards. The installer will mentor apprentice and junior installers, communicate with homeowners, maintain safe and organized job sites, complete documentation, and coordinate with sales, service, and operations teams to support customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Three or more years of fireplace installation experience preferred.
- Proven leadership or crew lead experience.
- Strong knowledge of gas fireplaces, venting systems, and installation best practices.
- Ability to read installation manuals, blueprints, and job specifications.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in various environments.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- RMGA certification or willingness to obtain it with company assistance.
Nice To Haves
- Three or more years of fireplace installation experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead residential fireplace installation projects from start to finish.
- Install gas, electric, and wood-burning fireplaces.
- Install venting, chimney, and gas systems according to code and manufacturer specifications.
- Mentor and train apprentice and junior installers.
- Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards.
- Perform system startup, testing, and final inspections.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Complete job documentation accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with sales, service, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
