About The Position

The Lead Field Service Engineer develops and delivers structured technical training programs that build technicians’ practical capability in industrial electrical systems, controls, PLCs, motor controls, troubleshooting, and electrical safety. The role combines instruction, curriculum development, technical mentorship, competency evaluation, qualification-record management, and field support. Training is delivered in classroom, shop, and field settings, with on-site work at Plant 2 in Douglassville, Pennsylvania, and field travel of approximately 10–20%. The position works with Field Service leadership, Engineering, Safety, OEMs, technicians, and other technical personnel to keep training relevant, consistent, safe, and documented. The position is full-time, on-site, and non-exempt. Its environment includes office and training spaces, manufacturing-shop areas, and customer field-service locations. Work involves hands-on activity around industrial electrical systems, control panels, and machinery under supervision, with potential exposure to electrical hazards, moving equipment, suspended loads, industrial noise, and varying temperatures. The role requires adherence to electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and PPE standards, and the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, and work at heights or on elevated platforms when trained and authorized. Success includes learning existing programs and records during the first 30 days; beginning to develop or restructure training modules and deliver an initial session during days 31–60; and subsequently delivering multiple sessions, establishing repeatable qualification processes, conducting field visits, and demonstrating measurable improvement in training quality, documentation, and technician readiness. Compensation is hourly and based on experience and qualifications. The company offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off and holidays, company-paid life insurance and disability coverage, tuition reimbursement, and professional development support.
