About The Position

Aquaria is hiring a technical lead to own the internal tools used by its sales, operations, and customer success teams, along with the integrations, data flows, and developers behind them. The role partners with leaders across the company to decide what to build, contributes code regularly, and is accountable for whether these systems help the business run effectively. Aquaria builds machines that make clean drinking water from air and describes its mission as safeguarding and unlocking a sustainable future for clean water. The company is backed by investors including Mistletoe, Soma Capital, Bow Capital, Ciri Ventures, HF0, and former House Majority Leader Dick Gephardt. Its technology was selected among TIME's Best Inventions of 2024 and received an Honorable Mention for Developing-World Technology in Fast Company's 2023 World Changing Ideas Awards. The team builds with AI coding tools and expects this lead to understand where they are useful and where their output needs closer review. The company favors shipping working versions early and iterating. Most weeks involve regular hours, but outages affecting a system the team depends on are addressed the same day. Communication is often written and asynchronous. Remote candidates must have working-hour overlap with US Central time.
