This role defines and delivers embedded software verification across the Core Avionics team's product portfolio in Blue Origin's Lunar Permanence business unit, supporting Blue Moon landers and related products, including those for the Human Landing System program. The engineer builds verification strategy, infrastructure, and automation that turn software requirements into repeatable tests and traceable release evidence. The role owns verification capability from processor-in-the-loop (PIL) setup and maintenance through automated deployment, test execution, and evidence delivery. It works with Design Assurance and Certification (DA&C), which provides Systems Engineering, and the VTB team, which is responsible for the integrated test environment. PIL capabilities may be hosted within the VTB, while this role owns their configuration, readiness, and use for software verification. The position remains hands-on in software development, hardware integration, and debugging. It architects reusable verification frameworks, simulates sensor and actuator interfaces, and owns verification scripts, test files, and reports. It also applies automation and AI-assisted engineering while ensuring results are reliable and reviewable, and establishes practices and capabilities to support a growing verification team. The position is based in Kent, Washington, to support hands-on integration, configuration, and maintenance of verification environments.
