About The Position

DLB Associates is hiring a Lead Electrical Engineer for its Mission Critical Department, which focuses primarily on hyperscale data centers and related mission-critical facilities. This remote position may be performed virtually from anywhere in the United States. The engineer collaborates with design staff and the Project Management Team to oversee full-cycle electrical design, produce construction documents, develop and edit project specifications, and lead construction administration. The role involves independently executing and leading complex-scope design projects and teams, with high-level direction on new projects or assignments. The engineer may coordinate other personnel and is expected to work in line with organizational goals, values, and departmental objectives. The position also includes leading the strategic use of technology and AI-enabled tools to improve workflow efficiency, documentation, reporting, forecasting, quality processes, project controls, and scalability, while ensuring alignment with company standards for data security, privacy, and operational integrity. The role requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, a PE in a related discipline, and at least eight years of electrical engineering experience, including demonstrated design experience in mission-critical or other high-availability environments. Travel may be up to 10%, including travel anywhere in the 50 U.S. states. Physical demands include frequently remaining stationary and moving through office, facility, and other environments; occasionally moving equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
