About The Position

PALS OHIO, LLC is seeking a full-time Lead Driver to support its person-centered programs for individuals with disabilities. The organization’s mission is to create opportunities for individuals with disabilities and help them participate in their communities and maintain a high quality of life. The driver provides non-medical transportation, picking up clients from adult living facilities, residential homes, or other agreed-upon locations and transporting them safely to programming. The driver also transports clients back to the agreed-upon location each day. Responsibilities include completing transportation documentation, keeping company vehicles clean, performing scheduled maintenance, and ensuring that vehicle functions and safety equipment are in good working order. The role requires local travel and flexible hours throughout the day.

Requirements

Successfully pass a DOT physical.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Commercial vehicle driving experience.
Provide an auto insurance policy.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical.
Valid Ohio Driver’s License with fewer than 6 points.
Driving history must meet insurance carrier requirements.
Mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance.
Flexible hours available throughout the day.
Light travel to local counties.

Responsibilities

Pick up clients at adult living facilities, residential homes, or other agreed-upon locations and transport them safely to programming.
Safely transport clients back to their agreed-upon locations each day.

Maintain the cleanliness of company vehicles.
Perform scheduled maintenance on company vehicles.
