Lead Diesel Mechanic 1st Shift
About The Position
A. Duie Pyle is hiring an experienced Lead Diesel Technician for its Fleet Maintenance team at the Streetsboro, Ohio shop. The role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and their systems. The position offers a 7:00 AM start time, Monday through Friday, with overtime pay after 40 hours. Pay is $30.00–$45.00 per hour based on experience and skillset, plus a $3.00-per-hour lead differential. Employees are paid weekly by direct deposit and work with modern equipment in clean shops. The company also offers a tool reimbursement program.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience repairing or maintaining Class 8 trucks.
- A complete set of hand tools for a heavy-duty truck technician.
- Willingness to learn and grow abilities.
- Ability to work independently with a can-do attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Vocational or technical training in diesel or heavy-duty vehicles.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, but not required).
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks.
- Troubleshoot and repair brakes, air systems, electrical components, suspension systems, and related systems.
- Diagnose and repair engines, electrical systems, and exhaust after-treatment systems.
- Inspect and replace general components as needed.
