Lead Diesel Mechanic 1st Shift
About The Position
A. Duie Pyle is hiring an experienced Lead Diesel Technician for its Fleet Maintenance team at the Streetsboro, Ohio shop. The role involves maintaining and repairing heavy-duty trucks, diagnosing vehicle systems, and replacing components as needed. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday with a 7:00 AM start time. Pay is $30.00–$45.00 per hour based on experience and skillset, plus a $3.00-per-hour lead differential. Weekly pay is provided by direct deposit, and overtime is paid after 40 hours. Technicians work on modern equipment in clean shops and may use the company-funded Tool Reimbursement Program. A. Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience repairing or maintaining Class 8 trucks.
- A complete set of hand tools for a heavy-duty truck technician.
- Willingness to learn and develop abilities.
- Ability to work independently with a can-do attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Vocational or technical training in diesel or heavy-duty vehicles.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, but not required).
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks.
- Troubleshoot and repair brakes, air systems, electrical components, suspension systems, and related systems.
- Diagnose and perform necessary repairs to engines, electrical systems, and exhaust after-treatment systems.
- Inspect and replace general components as required.
