About The Position
A. Duie Pyle is seeking an experienced Lead Diesel Mechanic to join its Fleet Maintenance team at the Rochester, New York shop. The role involves maintaining and repairing heavy-duty trucks, including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, component repairs, and inspections. The position offers a pay rate of $30.00–$45.00 per hour based on experience and skillset, plus a $3.00-per-hour lead differential. The schedule begins at 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with overtime pay after 40 hours. Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience repairing or maintaining Class 8 trucks.
- A complete set of hand tools for a heavy-duty truck technician.
- Ability to work independently with a can-do attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Vocational or technical training in diesel or heavy-duty vehicles.
- High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn and grow abilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks.
- Troubleshoot and repair brakes, air systems, electrical components, suspension systems, and related systems.
- Diagnose and perform necessary repairs to engine, electrical, and exhaust after-treatment systems.
- Inspect and replace general components as required.
