About The Position

Wolfson Children’s Hospital is the only children’s hospital in the region and is ranked among the best children’s hospitals in the U.S. It is part of Baptist Health. Baptist Health is hiring a Lead Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for the Ultrasound Department at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time days opportunity, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The position is responsible for the quantity and quality of ultrasound procedures, assisting with staff training and performance and equipment evaluation, and maintaining ICAVL and ACR accreditations. The sonographer also identifies, prepares, administers, and documents medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner and in accordance with applicable regulations or lawful institutional policy. The role is located at the Downtown - Main Building. Positions designated as requiring a Level II background screening will undergo fingerprint-based state and national criminal history screening as a condition of employment and continued employment.

Requirements

At least 2 years of vascular sonography experience.
Vocational school education.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
One of the listed credentials: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - ARDMS; Registered Vascular Technologist – ARDMS; Registered Technologist in Vascular Sonography – ARRT; Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) - ARDMS; or Registered Technologist in Sonography – ARRT.

Responsibilities
