About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for the Pediatric Ultrasound Department at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. The role performs advanced imaging to support patient care, assists physicians, and helps ensure patients’ safety and comfort. This is a PRN position with varied shifts. The position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $1,500 if hired. Positions designated as requiring a Level II background screening undergo fingerprint-based state and national criminal history screening as a condition of employment and continued employment.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience working in a hospital setting.
• 1–2 years of hospital-based department-specific work experience.
• 1–2 years of ultrasound experience.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience.
• Vocational school education.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• If hired, obtain sonography certification from ARDMS or ARRT (S), and RVT or ARRT (VS) or RVS within 12 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification preferred.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification preferred.
• Registered Technologist in Sonography (ARRT) certification preferred.
• Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification from CCI – Cardiovascular preferred.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification from ARDMS preferred.
