About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Lead DevSecOps Platform Engineer / Scrum Master to join the Air Traffic Business Area within the Homeland Sector. The role supports the FAA’s effort to replace aging flight service infrastructure with scalable, cloud-based platforms that improve safety and operational efficiency, particularly in remote and high-dependency aviation environments. This dual-responsibility position on a Scaled Agile team is split roughly 50% Scrum Master and 50% DevSecOps Platform Engineer. The Scrum Master guides Agile/SAFe processes, facilitates team ceremonies, removes impediments, and partners with the Product Owner, Systems Engineers, and developers to align priorities and drive delivery. The platform engineering work involves designing, implementing, and continuously improving secure software delivery platforms and automated pipelines, integrating security throughout the software development lifecycle. The platform engineering focus includes software delivery platforms, GitLab administration, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and developer enablement. Cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes administration, and cloud operations are handled in partnership with the Cloud Systems Owner team. The role collaborates with software engineers, systems engineers, cybersecurity personnel, Product Owners, and solution architects to deliver software rapidly while meeting security and compliance requirements for mission-critical FAA applications. This position supports government programs and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a favorable Public Trust investigation.
