Lead Scrum Master
About The Position
The Lead Scrum Master is responsible for the general oversight and execution of software development and maintenance using Agile methodologies. The position ensures software is delivered to meet targeted outcomes and Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements. It supports a program providing technical expertise and support to develop, implement, sustain, and improve mission-critical Agency functions and capabilities for Maritime Content Dissemination and Intelligence Product Dissemination. The Lead Scrum Master facilitates Agile processes and events, leads execution and refinement of Agile methodologies, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to align work with project goals and timelines. Employment depends on government approval. This is a key personnel position, and the designated individual must meet and maintain the qualifications specified by the program PWS throughout the contract.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or another related technical or scientific discipline.
- At least seven years of software development, application development, and/or DevSecOps pipeline experience.
- Proficiency in a cloud environment.
- Minimum TS/SCI clearance required to start.
- Must meet and maintain the qualifications specified for this key personnel role in the program PWS; employment depends on government approval.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or equivalent SAFe certification.
- Ten years of hands-on experience developing, implementing, and leading software programs and using DevSecOps pipelines, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile processes and events, including Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review/Demo, Backlog Grooming, and Retrospective.
- Ensure software delivery meets targeted outcomes and PWS requirements.
- Lead the execution and refinement of Agile methodologies.
