About The Position

As a Lead Deployment Architect - AI, you are the senior technical authority within delivery and own end-to-end solution architecture for a portfolio of strategic customer engagements. You design and deliver enterprise solutions spanning data foundations and integration, process intelligence, operational applications, automation, security, governance, change management, and production operations. You set architectural standards and delivery patterns, review solution quality, resolve escalations, and remain hands-on with implementations and emerging Celonis capabilities. You advise strategic customers and their senior technology and business leaders, translating business challenges into platform strategies, defining use cases and success metrics, and guiding customers through their Process Intelligence maturity journey. You support pre-sales by scoping and estimating work and validating solution feasibility, helping ensure that proposed solutions can be delivered and scaled. As part of the Advanced AI Practice, you determine when solutions call for fixed business rules, machine learning, AI reasoning, predictive models, or autonomous AI systems. You design the appropriate approach, define evaluation criteria, and establish production guardrails and monitoring. On complex engagements, you partner with Deployment Architects; where AI is central to the solution, you lead its architecture. You also mentor colleagues, contribute to hiring and practice standards, develop reusable solution patterns, and share production lessons with Product and Engineering. The role requires 8+ years of relevant technical consulting, architecture, engineering, or delivery leadership experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead technical role. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field is required, along with willingness to travel to customer locations as project phases require. Visa sponsorship is not available. The California base salary range is $195,000–$215,000 USD; total compensation may also include bonus or commission, equity, and benefits.

  • Track record of building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, presenting transformation strategies, defending architectural decisions, and navigating complex IT environments and organizational dynamics.
  • Experience owning technical delivery and escalations, scoping and estimating pre-sales effort, and leading workshops, design sessions, and strategic reviews.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor technical staff, set quality standards, and contribute to organizational capability.
