About The Position

Brain Co. is building its AI Deployment team in San Francisco to serve financial-services clients across the U.S. The AI Deployment Lead works at the intersection of AI product delivery and client engagement, shaping and delivering solutions for asset managers, investors, lenders, and other financial institutions. The role owns engagements end to end, from discovery through production and sustained use. It leads cross-functional teams, builds client relationships, translates business needs into working products, and is accountable for program execution and measurable customer value. The lead stays close to users, makes scope decisions, and uses AI tools and prototypes to move delivery forward. The role also supports account growth by earning client trust and identifying additional valuable problems to solve. The position partners with engineers, product managers, designers, practitioners, sponsors, and senior client stakeholders. It is based in San Francisco and requires regular travel to customer sites, particularly during discovery, launch, and adoption.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, coordinating multiple workstreams, and building trusted relationships with senior clients and frontline practitioners.
  • Hands-on use of AI at work, understanding of its limitations, and ability to discuss data flows, evaluation, human review, and technical trade-offs with engineers.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous problems into useful first releases, make scope trade-offs, and connect delivery to customer value and account growth.
  • Experience driving behavioral and process change in large organizations, aligning competing incentives, and earning adoption without direct authority.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, willingness to learn unfamiliar domains, and initiative to resolve gaps independently.
  • Ability to travel regularly to customer sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Financial-services experience.
  • Commercially minded experience in consulting, enterprise software, or other complex industries, with evidence of learning a domain and delivering lasting results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional delivery from discovery through production and sustained use; set priorities, run delivery cycles, manage dependencies and risks, and align clients and teams on commitments.
  • Work with practitioners and sponsors to understand workflows, prioritize valuable problems, and translate requirements into product specifications and acceptance criteria; decide what to build, defer, or stop.
  • Drive user adoption and organizational change by building relationships, addressing stakeholder concerns, leading people-and-process changes, gathering direct feedback, and verifying sustained use.
  • Agree on outcomes and a baseline with clients, track deployment impact, surface risks, and address quality or adoption problems after launch.
  • Own day-to-day client relationships, communicate with senior sponsors, connect results to new opportunities, and partner with commercial colleagues on expansion proposals and commitments.
  • Build or adapt prototypes, test consequential AI output, and work with engineers on technical trade-offs.
  • Partner with product managers to turn recurring customer needs into reusable capabilities and implementation practices.
