About The Position

The Lead Data Scientist / Product Analyst will lead and develop a high-performing, multidisciplinary team of Data Scientists, Product Analysts, and potentially analytics engineers and platform specialists. The role may also oversee vendor and contractor resources as needed. The team’s work includes building predictive and AI models and measuring customer behavior and product performance. The position is responsible for establishing the team structure and hiring plans, developing skills, setting goals and accountability mechanisms, coaching team members, conducting performance reviews, and fostering experimentation and innovation. The role is expected to ensure analytics work leads to measurable business outcomes, including faster product decision-making, improved customer engagement, and better AI-powered features.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of Data Scientists and Product Analysts.
• Direct a multidisciplinary team that includes Data Scientists building predictive and AI models and Product Analysts measuring customer behavior and product performance.
• Oversee analytics engineers, platform specialists, and vendor or contractor resources as needed.
• Define team structure, hiring plans, and skills development.
• Establish goals, KPIs, and accountability mechanisms.
• Coach team members and conduct performance reviews.
• Create a culture of experimentation and innovation.
