About The Position

The Lead Damage Control SME serves as the senior advisor for damage control readiness, survivability, and casualty response programs supporting Navy fleet readiness. Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years supervisory experience.
  • Extensive shipboard damage control leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of current Navy damage control doctrine and procedures.
  • Recent operational damage control experience within the past five years.
  • SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS.

Responsibilities

  • Assess shipboard damage control programs and readiness.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and procedural compliance.
  • Review casualty response capabilities and material condition.
  • Provide recommendations to improve survivability and readiness.
  • Support fleet inspections and readiness assessments.
