About The Position
Sayres is seeking an experienced Lead Deck SME in San Diego, CA with a SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS. The Lead Deck SME serves as the senior advisor for deck seamanship operations, maintenance, and readiness assessments aboard Navy ships and military auxiliaries.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years supervisory deck operations experience.
- Experience serving as Boatswain or equivalent senior deck leadership position.
- Extensive experience with Navy deck equipment and systems.
- Direct operational and maintenance experience on current Navy systems.
- SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS.
Nice To Haves
- 25+ years highly desirable.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Assess deck operations and maintenance programs.
- Evaluate anchor, mooring, crane, boat handling, and replenishment systems.
- Conduct readiness inspections and technical reviews.
- Provide recommendations to improve safety and operational effectiveness.
- Support fleet readiness initiatives.
