About The Position

The Lead Customer Specialist delivers a welcoming, customer-centered environment that reflects Chico’s culture of hospitality. In the absence of another manager, this role serves as Manager on Duty, leading the team and elevating the customer experience. The position also supports store operations, brand standards, policy compliance, team collaboration, and community engagement.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Passion for the brand, fashion, and empowering confidence.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Demonstrates an ownership mindset and leads by example.
Effective leadership, people management, and communication skills.
Collaborative leadership style with an investment in developing talent.
Ability to bend, reach, and stretch for products; maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom; operate the register; and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Initiate authentic conversations with customers to understand their needs and provide personalized service.
Partner with the team to deliver a customer-centered experience reflecting Chico’s culture of hospitality.
Share knowledge of Chico’s products and services to outfit and inspire customers.
Build long-term customer relationships through proactive outreach about new products, promotions, and in-store events.
Maintain a visually inspiring store environment that reflects brand standards.
Share brand priorities, initiatives, and messages with store teams.
Ensure compliance with policies, guidelines, and business practices.
Contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork and collaboration.
Build connections with the local community through events, outreach, and initiatives.
Serve as Manager on Duty in the absence of another manager and lead the team.
