About The Position

The Lead Cook prepares and portions food items as designated in a kitchen where large quantities of food are prepared. The role monitors inventory and supplies, maintains accurate records, and uses kitchen and general cleaning equipment and materials. The Lead Cook is expected to show caring and patient behavior toward residents and function as a team member.

The position is full-time, with a days/evenings schedule. The pay range is $20.00–$23.50, with starting pay based on experience.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a kitchen where large quantities of food are prepared.
• Ability to use kitchen equipment.
• Ability to use general cleaning equipment and materials.
• Ability to function as a team member.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Basic computer skills.
• At least three years of experience working in the food service industry.

• Restaurant experience preferred.
