About The Position

Tigg's Canteen Services is looking for a dependable and motivated individual to fill a Permanent Full-Time Lead Cook position at the DeKalb County Jail in Auburn, Indiana. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing meals, helping lead a kitchen team, and working in a structured environment. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and follow company recipes
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Strong work ethic, integrity, and a positive attitude
• Ability to work effectively in a structured environment
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and support kitchen operations
• Ability to obtain the necessary facility clearance

Nice To Haves

• Kitchen or food service experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person!

Responsibilities

• Leading, directing, and assisting inmate workers with kitchen activities
• Preparing, cooking, and baking meals
• Following company recipes and established food service procedures
• Assisting with meal preparation and daily kitchen operations
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen
• Performing kitchen cleanup and sanitation duties
• Following all procedures required in a structured correctional facility
