About The Position

Tigg's Canteen Services is looking for a Lead Cook to join our team at the Grand Traverse County Jail. This is a Full-Time Permanent position where the Lead Cook will assist with daily food service operations, including meal preparation, leading and directing inmates within the kitchen, and maintaining an organized, safe, and productive kitchen environment. The role involves preparing, baking, and cooking meals according to company recipes and procedures, ensuring timely and correct meal preparation, and assisting with sanitation and clean-up. A professional attitude is required, especially within the structured correctional environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Availability to work weekends and holidays
• Flexibility to work varying days and hours
• Ability to obtain the required facility clearance and approval
• Can lift up to 50 pounds
