About The Position

The Lead Cleaning Technician ensures that an assigned area—either a floor of a larger building or an entire smaller building—is cleaned properly by themselves and/or other cleaners. The role oversees cleaners, follows daily direction from the Account Manager or Building Supervisor, and performs a range of commercial cleaning duties while providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 9:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. and Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Pay is $18.50.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in all aspects of commercial cleaning.
• Understanding of commercial cleaning methods, techniques, cleaning supplies, and equipment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting and moving up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally with assistance.
• Ability to comply with required safety policies and procedures, including when exposed to cleaning products.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to two years of related experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Oversee other cleaners to ensure their assigned areas have been cleaned properly.
• Receive and carry out daily direction from the Account Manager or Building Supervisor.
• Maintain facility cleanliness by performing various cleaning duties.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors using brooms, mops, and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using a vacuum cleaner.
• Dust furniture and equipment.
• Polish metalwork, including fixtures and fittings.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and windowsills.
• Empty wastebaskets and recyclables and transport them to the disposal area.
• Replenish bathroom supplies.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Report to work on time and work overtime as required.
