About The Position

The Lead Cleaner ensures facility operations follow policies and procedures and coordinates daily operations by delegating assignments and guiding team members. The role provides supervision at an assigned location when the Manager is absent and demonstrates established standards for keeping buildings and facilities clean and safe for workers and customers. The Lead Cleaner operates specialized equipment, handles cleaning chemicals, and supports general janitorial duties as needed. The position is described as suitable for someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
A high school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required.

Nice To Haves

One year of similar work experience.
One year of customer service experience.
One year of lead or supervisory experience.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Follow assigned work schedules and route cards, and report barriers.
Provide leadership and direction to team members.
Maintain open communication between field employees and management, and monitor and document client communications.
Assist with preparing daily and weekly work schedules.
Oversee and perform cleaning operations in the assigned building.
Take care of property keys and access cards.
Report damaged, broken, or non-operational features and items.
Oversee and perform additional service requests in the assigned building.
Oversee job quality and confirm completion with the Area Manager.
Train new hires assigned to the building in accordance with onboarding procedures.
Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
Complete any additional certifications or training required by the site type.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
