Lead Cleaner - Day Shift Shift
About The Position
The Lead Cleaner ensures facility operations follow established policies and procedures. This role coordinates daily operations by delegating assignments, guiding team members, and providing supervision at an assigned location when the Manager is not present. The Lead Cleaner demonstrates standards that keep facilities clean and safe for workers and customers. The position also involves operating specialized equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and assisting with general janitorial duties as needed. The schedule is Sunday through Wednesday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The work location is 17320 South Hedge Lane, Olathe, KS 66062. Pay is $20.28 per hour. ABM describes the position as suitable for someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. A high school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Nice To Haves
- One year of similar work experience.
- One year of customer service experience.
- One year of lead or supervisory experience.
- Valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Complete any additional certifications or training required by the site type.
- Follow assigned work schedules and route cards, and report barriers.
- Provide leadership and direction to team members.
- Maintain open communication between field employees and management, and monitor and document client communications.
- Assist with preparing daily and weekly work schedules.
- Oversee and perform cleaning operations in the assigned building.
- Manage keys and access cards for the property.
- Report damaged, broken, or nonfunctional features and items.
- Oversee and perform additional service requests (tag jobs) in the assigned building.
- Oversee job quality and confirm completion with the Area Manager.
- Train new hires assigned to the building in accordance with onboarding procedures.
- Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
- Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Operate specialized equipment, handle cleaning chemicals, and provide general janitorial support as needed.
