Lead Custodial Cleaner - Day Shift
About The Position
ABM is seeking a reliable and experienced Lead Custodial Cleaner to help ensure facility operations follow policies and procedures. The Lead coordinates daily operations by delegating assignments and providing guidance, and supervises an assigned location when the Manager is not present. The role demonstrates established standards for keeping buildings and facilities clean and safe for workers and customers. The position includes operating specialized equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, overseeing and performing cleaning and additional service requests, and supporting general janitorial duties as needed. The Lead also provides direction and training to team members, supports scheduling and communication, monitors work quality, and helps maintain facility supplies and access items.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Nice To Haves
- One year of similar work experience.
- One year of customer service experience.
- One year of lead or supervisory experience.
- Valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Complete any additional certifications or training needed for the site type.
- Follow assigned work schedules and route cards, and report barriers.
- Provide leadership and direction to team members.
- Maintain open communication between field employees and management, and monitor and document client communications.
- Assist with creating daily and weekly work schedules.
- Oversee and perform cleaning operations in the assigned building.
- Take care of keys and access cards for the property.
- Report damaged, broken, or out-of-work features and items.
- Oversee and perform additional service requests (tag jobs) in the assigned building.
- Oversee job quality and confirm completion with the Area Manager.
- Train new hires assigned to the building in accordance with onboarding procedures.
- Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
- Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
