About The Position

ABM is seeking a reliable and experienced School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties in designated areas at a K-12 school, college, or university campus. The position is located at 12345 College Blvd, Overland Park, KS 66210. The available Monday–Friday schedules are 5:00 AM–1:30 PM or 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, with pay of $17.00 per hour. On-the-job training is provided, and no prior experience or education is required. ABM describes this as an opportunity for someone entering or returning to the workforce. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• No prior experience is required; on-the-job training is provided.
• No high school diploma, GED, or college degree is required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior customer service experience.
• One year of prior similar work experience.
• Military or veteran experience is encouraged; listed Military Occupational Specialty Codes are 92S, 92Y, LS, 3051, and 3F1X1.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways.
• Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors in designated areas.
• Check trash receptacles regularly and empty them as needed.
• Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Notify the lead cleaner or manager when minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems are needed.
• Maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, coworkers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
• Collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into appropriate receptacles.
• Clean and dust desks, chairs, tables, furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls.
• Polish hard surfaces, including woodwork and stainless-steel surfaces.
• Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas, manually or using hand trucks.
• Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
• Maintain restroom cleanliness and polish surfaces as needed.
• Comply with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the company, clients, and regulatory authorities.
