About The Position

The Lead Cleaner coordinates daily facility operations to ensure policies and procedures are followed. The role delegates assignments, guides team members, and provides supervision at an assigned location when the Manager is not present. The Shift Leader demonstrates established standards to keep facilities clean and safe for workers and customers. Duties also include operating specialized equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and performing general janitorial work as needed. The position is located at 10800 Mill Creek Rd., Lenexa, KS 66219, and works Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Pay is $19.73 per hour. ABM describes this as a suitable role for someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

One year of similar work experience.
One year of customer service experience.
One year of lead or supervisory experience.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Complete any additional certifications or training required by the site type.
Follow assigned work schedules and route cards, and report barriers.
Provide leadership and direction to team members.
Maintain open communication between field employees and management, and monitor and document client communications.
Assist with preparing daily and weekly work schedules.
Oversee and perform cleaning operations in the assigned building.
Manage keys and access cards for the property.
Report damaged, broken, or non-operational features and items.
Oversee and perform additional service requests (tag jobs) in the assigned building.
Oversee job quality and confirm completion with the Area Manager.
Train new hires assigned to the building in accordance with onboarding procedures.
Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
