About The Position
The Growing Years of Greensboro is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support the Two's/Three's age groups. We are a family-oriented, close-knit organization looking for individuals with a positive attitude who love working with children and desire to work in a fun and professional environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Ability to pass all background checks
- Associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field
Responsibilities
- Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
- Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently.
- Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
- Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
- Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
- Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
