About The Position

Friends Early Learning Center is an established, state-licensed childcare center that has provided childcare since 1987 and holds a Level 4 rating in Paths to Quality. Its mission is to grow lifelong learners and confident, compassionate individuals. The center emphasizes creating a stimulating, enriching environment and investing in staff while building a caring community of educators and learners. The Lead Childcare Teacher leads classroom operations, builds relationships with children and families, and maintains a positive, clean, and consistent environment for the children in their care. The position offers pay of up to $19 per hour.

Requirements

Have a degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), a CDA, or at least five years of experience in a center setting.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Be able to work until 5:30 p.m.
Be capable of meeting the physical demands of working with children.
Complete CPR and First Aid training.
Complete an annual TB test and physical.

Responsibilities

Lead the overall operations of the classroom.
Establish relationships with children and families in the assigned classroom.
Provide a positive, clean, and consistent environment for the children in their care.
