About The Position

Indian Rocks Eats is seeking a passionate and servant-hearted Lead Chef to help lead their growing hospitality ministry. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who enjoys fresh food, thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, likes mentoring others, and desires to make a meaningful impact through hospitality and service. The position offers a unique opportunity to combine culinary leadership, creativity, and ministry in a team-focused environment, covering daily campus dining, athlete nutrition, catering, and community events.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of culinary leadership or high-volume kitchen experience.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and serving others.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of Google Docs/Sheets and recipe scaling.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must give testimony and evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and sense the call of God to a serving ministry.
• Demonstrate a consistent Christian lifestyle as referenced by the Mission, Statement of Faith, and Leadership Guidelines of Indian Rocks.
• Must be an active member of Indian Rocks as defined by regular attendance in worship services, regular attendance/involvement in an Indian Rocks Connection Group or Small Group, commitment to systematic stewardship, and faithful in tithing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading daily lunch service for 1,500+ students and staff.
• Help prepare meals for the Fueling for Excellence athlete nutrition program.
• Support catering events, family dinners, and special events.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and safety.
• Foster a positive kitchen culture through teamwork, leadership, and mentorship.
• Assist with kitchen organization, prep coordination, and recipe scaling.
