About The Position

Las Vegas Petroleum is seeking proactive and experienced Lead Cashiers to join our team at various locations. As a Lead Cashier, you will be instrumental in managing the cashiering operations while providing exceptional customer service during every shift. Your role as a Lead Cashier will include supervising the cashier staff, ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing, and promoting a customer-focused atmosphere. You will act as a key point of contact for both customers and staff, fostering an efficient and welcoming environment.

Requirements

Proficient with cash handling, basic math, and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
Reliability is essential; candidates should be punctual and ready to handle various shifts, including weekends.
A demonstrated capability to lead and motivate a team to meet operational goals.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a cashier, coupled with supervisory skills or team leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support the cashier team, providing training and mentoring to help them achieve their best performance.
Engage with customers to understand their needs, resolve issues, and ensure complete satisfaction.
Oversee cash register operations, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
Assist with inventory checks and help maintain appropriate stock levels at the cashier area.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cashier stations and sales floor.
Provide feedback and reports to management regarding cashier performance and customer preferences.
