This Lead - Breast Imaging position is responsible for establishing and maintaining systems to monitor and track all suspicious mammography reports, ensuring physician follow-up. This includes notifying physicians of pending recommendations, tracking biopsies, and managing referrals for further imaging. The role involves generating letters to physicians, updating results in the Optima System for patient outcomes, and providing training on the Penrad Tracking System. The Lead serves as a liaison between various stakeholders to ensure high customer satisfaction with mammography services and participates in system-wide and corporate committees. Key responsibilities include preparing monthly cycle time data and Quality Assurance Reports, overseeing quality assurance and control plans to meet regulatory requirements (MQSA, ACR, ACS), and performing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual quality assurance testing. The position also involves overseeing MQSA Inspections, preparing staff work schedules, allocating resources, managing payroll activities, conducting annual performance reviews, and ensuring appropriate use of various Radiology Information Systems. Additionally, the Lead performs duties of a staff mammography technologist, manages supply procurement, and provides community education and participates in health fairs.
