About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Imaging Manager to join the Diagnostic Imaging Department at the Hill Breast Center. This role will oversee breast imaging operations and support mammography services across the Baptist Health system. The position is full-time, with day shifts from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and as needed. The manager will not be patient-facing and will focus on leading a breast imaging team, overseeing daily operations, staff scheduling, budgeting, quality initiatives, and collaborating with modality leads, radiologists, and system leadership.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Experience working in a hospital or outpatient imaging setting.
  • Budgeting and operational management experience.
  • Strong customer service and employee engagement skills.
  • Breast imaging experience is required.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Required OR Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine ARRT (N) Required OR Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT Required OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) Required OR Licensed Medical Imaging Technologist Required OR Licensed Radiologic Technologist Required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience collaborating with radiologists and leading multidisciplinary teams preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to de-escalate situations, mentor team members, and promote collaboration.
  • ARRT (M) Mammography Certification preferred or Breast Ultrasound credential preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Working under the direction of the Director.
  • Performing administrative and supervisory duties within the department.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of departmental budgets.
  • Leading recruitment, retention, mentoring, and performance management of a team of approximately 48 direct reports, including Mammography Technologists, Breast Ultrasound Technologists, Patient Access Specialists, and Medical Assistants.
  • Managing staff scheduling, timekeeping, payroll approvals, and attendance.
  • Addressing and escalating imaging workflow and image processing concerns.
  • Supporting quality assurance and quality control initiatives for breast imaging equipment across the Baptist Health system.
  • Overseeing mammography equipment operations across 10 locations with 21 mammography units.
  • Managing the Baptist Health Mobile Mammography ("Buddy Bus") program.
  • Fostering a collaborative, team-oriented culture while partnering closely with radiologists and multidisciplinary leaders.
