If you’re ready to grow with us, we’d love to hear from you. We are seeking a Lead, Bakery‑Sanitation to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As the Lead Sanitation Technician, you will oversee and coordinate sanitation activities to ensure food safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness while leading and developing the sanitation team in a safe and hygienic manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sanitation or food manufacturing, including supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of food safety standards, including GMP and HACCP
  • Ability to read and comprehend sanitation procedures, SSOPs, and safety documentation
  • Ability to write clear reports and complete sanitation and audit logs accurately
  • Basic math skills using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to lift and move items over 50 lbs. occasionally and work in wet, humid, and dusty environments

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience supporting sanitation audits and regulatory inspections
  • Experience working in bakery or food manufacturing environments
  • Strong training and mentoring skills for sanitation teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise sanitation team members, including Tech 1 and Tech 2 roles
  • Ensure sanitation activities comply with SSOPs, GMPs, HACCP, and Aspire Bakeries quality standards
  • Manage sanitation schedules for production and non‑production areas to support operational readiness
  • Maintain audit readiness by serving as the primary sanitation contact for inspections and reviews
  • Oversee sanitation documentation, including cleaning logs, chemical usage, and corrective actions
  • Partner with Quality Assurance and Production teams to mitigate contamination risks
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
