About The Position

DiBella’s is seeking a Lead Baker to bake fresh Italian bread according to the company’s standards. The workday begins early in the morning, although exact start times vary. Punctuality, dependable transportation, and a can-do attitude are important for the role. When not performing baking responsibilities, the Lead Baker provides friendly customer service, prepares and serves food, and completes shift duties.

Requirements

Punctuality, dependable transportation, and a can-do attitude.
Ability to frequently stand, walk, kneel, squat, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as the baking manual.
Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, balance friendliness with efficiency, and maintain focus.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

Bake bread according to the procedures in DiBella’s Bread Manual.
Follow the location’s par list to determine daily baking quantities.
Keep the bakery clean and organized and report equipment deficiencies.
Use provided safety equipment to help ensure crew and guest safety.
Prepare and serve menu items according to portion guidelines.
Set up deli products and items, including cheeses, meats, breads, condiments, sauces, napkins, and wrap paper.
Prepare hot and cold sandwiches at customers’ requests.
Provide excellent customer service.
Keep grills, the deli counter, counter sink, and other areas clean.
Maintain a work pace sufficient to handle heavy rushes.
Complete all shift duties.
Keep customer-facing and food-storage areas sanitary and orderly in accordance with Health Department standards.
Comply with Health Department regulations.
Increase product knowledge over time.
Perform other duties as assigned by managers.
