About The Position

The Assembly Lead role is responsible for assisting in the coordinating of producing finished goods and services to meet our customers quality and timeliness demands and support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. KF Valves was founded more than 60 years ago with the vision of transporting crude oil even more safely and efficiently. Valves have always been at the heart of every transport route used for various fluids. Every day, our experienced team performs diverse and complex tasks at our headquarters in Houston, Texas, to ensure that individual orders are completed professionally and on time, and that the functionality and quality of our products is being continuously improved.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related production or mechanical assembly experience and/or training.?
  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SECOND SHIFT
  • Employment will be dependent on candidate successfully passing a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains assembly records, all charts, timecards, or other documents as required.
  • Actively participates in site safety and quality programs, including our Proactive Safety Observation safety program.
  • Reviews and resolves operational, assembly, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Assists with standard operating and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with those standards.
  • Provides guidance to other employees related to valve assembly processes and procedures.
  • Acts as a mentor and trainer to new employees to ensure proper procedures and techniques are being used to complete assembly process.
  • Must be able to perform assembly, test and paint/tag duties as required.
  • Ability to obtain an in-house forklift certification, including use of stand-up forklift.
  • Ability to support production needs and identify improvements in production operations and effectively communicate both opportunities and solutions.
  • Displays flexibility in approach to work scope daily activities to ensure the site and company meets its production and financial goals.
