About The Position

This full-time, onsite role is based in Alpharetta, Georgia, or Dallas, Texas, and is performed at the designated work location five days per week. No relocation is offered. The Lead Applications Development professional designs, develops, tests, maintains, and supports enterprise software applications aligned with business objectives and user needs. The role delivers scalable solutions across the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, development, testing, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ongoing application support. The position calls for strong full-stack development experience with modern web technologies such as Angular and/or React; backend technologies such as Node.js and Python; API development; and relational and non-relational databases. Cloud-native development, CI/CD practices, and modern data platforms such as Databricks and/or Snowflake are also relevant. As a recognized technical expert and subject matter expert, the role leads complex initiatives, contributes to architectural decisions, mentors team members, collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders, and advances application modernization. The position has no direct supervisory responsibility. The role is an experienced professional position requiring broad and in-depth technical knowledge to resolve complex issues creatively. It leads significant projects with strategic autonomy, influences technical and business decisions, develops and implements long-term plans that affect the organization, and frequently collaborates with senior leaders.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in software development, application support, and web application technologies.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical field is desired.
Hands-on experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting modern web applications using Angular and/or React.
Experience developing and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js, Python, or related technologies and frameworks.
Ability to design, develop, and optimize data solutions using relational and non-relational databases, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
Experience implementing end-to-end application solutions across user-interface, application, integration, and data layers.
Knowledge of software-engineering best practices, including secure coding, API design and development, automated testing, CI/CD, source control, and cloud-native development.
Strong problem-solving and strategic-thinking skills, with the ability to influence technical direction and support project delivery and operational excellence.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Angular and/or React, Node.js, Python, API development, and database technologies is preferred.
Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake is a plus; experience with modern data platforms is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, code, and test software applications to meet business requirements and user needs.
Maintain and enhance existing applications to resolve defects, improve performance, and ensure compatibility with evolving technologies.
Partner with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and user stories, and create and maintain technical documentation.
Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing, and provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance.
Collaborate with business, product, architecture, data, infrastructure, and other technology teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Lead complex development initiatives, manage priorities and dependencies, identify risks, and support timely delivery.
Provide technical guidance, contribute to architectural decisions, mentor less-experienced team members, and stay current with relevant industry trends and technologies.
Design, develop, test, and support modern web applications and scalable backend services and APIs.
Design, develop, and optimize data solutions, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and architectural patterns that support modernization initiatives.
