About The Position

The Multi-Asset Investment Liaison acts a key catalyst for growth and collaboration within Global Investment Operations. In this dynamic role, you will serve as the primary bridge between our multi-asset investment management and various operational teams, actively enhancing your subject matter expertise through on-the-job learning and mentorship. As a Lead Multi-Asset Investment Liaison, you'll play a vital role in leading support for portfolio management operations, representing our investment strategies to internal groups, and facilitating effective communication with the investment staff. You'll contribute to team leadership, knowledge sharing, and spearhead departmental initiatives such as new system development, testing, and working group support. The Investment Liaison organization emphasizes the opportunity to grow, innovate, and drive positive change in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 8+ years of total relevant work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex topics for diverse audiences
  • Applies consultative approach when interacting with stakeholders and peers; position requires interaction with associates at all levels
  • Strong communication skills including technical writing to concisely summarize and communicate between investment personnel and operational teams
  • Intellectually curious and ability to apply critical thinking skills
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Ability to coach and influence peers without direct Supervisory oversight

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant investment or operations experience, including exposure to Multi‑Asset strategies
  • 6+ years of investment industry experience
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement process improvements; advanced Excel skills; familiarity or interest in utilizing Python and SQL
  • Completion of or progress towards a CFA, MBA, or MSF

Responsibilities

  • Leads investment teams through all stages of the client life cycle, managing pivotal investment-related and operational activities.
  • Acts as a conduit for investments by leveraging specialized business and technical expertise to lead and manage complex investment related, operational activities and challenges.
  • Take ownership of your contributions, ensuring that your work consistently meets team objectives for quality and timeliness.
  • Operate within established guidelines while also having the opportunity to tackle new and exciting assignments, and work through challenges emphasizing efficiency and scalability.
  • Leads the ongoing operational activities associated with portfolio management of highly complex or high-risk investment strategies.
  • Leverages specialized business and technical expertise to interpret and identify portfolio management solutions based on investment and performance data.
  • Develops bespoke investment strategies; manages highly complex or high-risk model portfolios; leads responses to corporate action events; resolves pre-trade compliance issues, reviews strategy-level data, benchmarks, and performance composites; and guides less experienced professionals in the resolution of highly complex investment-related operational issues of notable risk.
  • Serves as key point of contact for team members when complexity is introduced to operational activities and advises portfolio management leaders and key stakeholders on broad-ranging projects.
  • Uses significant autonomy in decision making on broad-ranging topics while ensuring operational readiness to support investment management activities for new and existing complex investment strategies, products, separate accounts, and investment types representing all levels of complexity.
  • Independently develops responses to ad hoc or specialized qualitative and quantitative investment related data inquiries posed by internal teams, clients, consultants, prospects, and management.
  • Reviews and interprets complex data for use in client meetings, marketing materials, client reporting, and internal investment committee meetings.
  • Accountable for final materials delivered to internal business units and management.
  • May represent department as a subject matter expert on cross-functional/enterprise-wide strategic initiatives of notable risk and leads disciplinary or cross-functional initiatives to increase processing efficiency and scale, reduce risk, deliver new capabilities, develop innovative solutions, and adhere to regulatory policies and mandates.
  • Implements portfolio management policies and procedures.
  • Role models best practices and serves as point of issue escalation for less experienced employees.
  • Develops cross-training plans to ensure continuity of coverage across a defined subset of investment strategies.
  • Reviews accuracy and completeness of procedural documentation.
