About The Position

The Leads Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for ensuring AP functions run efficiently across regions, supports implementation initiatives, and drives continuous improvement through data, standardization, and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 7+ years of work experience, preferable 4+ years of accounting experience
  • Oracle ERP and other efficiency tool (e.g. AI) experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability

  • Successful in developing and implementing process change.
  • Influence, negotiate, and drive change.
  • Ability to think "process" versus just function, solid understanding of end to end processes.

  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance (at least state minimum- more might be required), acceptable driving record per Schreiber Foods discretion, and vehicle that will ensure applicant can meet the travel necessities of the position are required.
  • Schreiber requires that an employee have authorization to work in the country in which the role is based.
  • In the event, an applicant does not have current work authorization, Schreiber will determine, in its sole discretion, whether to sponsor an individual for work authorization. However, based on immigration requirements, not all roles are suitable for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Own and monitor end to end AP process performance across all regions to ensure invoices, payments, and period activities run smoothly; identify systemic risks and drive timely resolution of complex operational issues.
  • Lead proactive troubleshooting of complex AP process, system, and integration issues; perform root cause analysis, coordinate cross functional resolution, communicate status to stakeholders, and implement preventative controls.
  • Serve as AP system configuration owner by validating setups, maintaining complete documentation (including decision rationale), and ensuring configurations support auditability, scalability, and future enhancements.
  • Manage global efficiency tools and vendor relationship, including coordinating support tickets, leading training and enablement sessions, aligning regional partners, and influencing future tool strategy and enhancements.
  • Analyze AP data and reporting for accuracy, trends, and reasonableness; identify inefficiencies and risks; and lead data driven recommendations that improve controls, efficiency, and global standardization.
  • Lead cross functional AP initiatives and projects by defining scope, advising stakeholders as the AP subject matter expert, supporting implementations, and ensuring alignment with global Procure to Pay standards.
  • Perform other job related duties as required, including audit support, mentoring other partners, documentation support, and participation in broader finance or P2P initiatives.
