About The Position

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has an exciting opportunity for a LCB Licensing Specialist in the Bureau of Licensing, Licensing Evaluation Division. In this role you will be responsible for reviewing and processing routine and advanced complex liquor license and permit applications in support of the licensing program administered by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. This role focuses on reviewing and evaluating liquor license and permit applications of varying complexity to support the Bureau of Licensing's mission. You will manage detailed regulatory reviews, verify documents, communicate with applicants, and help maintain accurate licensing records.

Requirements

• Two years of experience as an LCB Licensing Technician 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Five years of clerical, administrative, or para-professional experience supporting a legal, licensing, or other regulatory program requiring the application of statutes, program policies, and industry regulations, and graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Be able to perform essential job functions.
• Pass a background investigation.
• No felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment.

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate license and permit applications for proper execution and eligibility
• Review legal agreements, court orders, and related materials for acceptability
• Research applicant and premises history for complaints, convictions, or pending actions
• Assess investigation reports for compliance with statutory, regulatory, and policy requirements
• Prepare summaries, address deficiencies, and coordinate with management on complex cases
• Input and update licensing data in POSSE and utilize system tools for research and tracking
