About The Position

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has an exciting opportunity for a LCB Licensing Supervisor in the Bureau of Licensing, Licensing Systems and Program Management Division. In this role you will be responsible for the direct supervision of a team of LCB Licensing Technicians. This position oversees licensing activities and guides staff through complex work to keep processes accurate and timely.

Requirements

• One year of experience as an LCB Licensing Specialist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Six years of technical experience interpreting and applying statutes, program policies, or industry regulations; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• You must meet the PA residency requirement.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
• You must pass a background investigation.
• An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor licensing tasks and ensure they follow all procedures and requirements
• Provide direction, training, and support to team members on daily assignments
• Examine applications and legal materials to determine correctness and eligibility
• Recommend updates to policies, procedures, and training materials
• Address questions, concerns, and reports by coordinating with staff and leadership
• Oversee call systems, communication tools, and coverage schedules for the unit
