About The Position

Steadfast Health is hiring a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) to provide outpatient substance use disorder care in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The position delivers individual and group therapy in person and via telehealth, and uses a patient-first, non-paternalistic, destigmatizing approach grounded in harm reduction. The clinician works within an integrated clinic team, with support from Advanced Practice Providers, Medical Assistants, and Peer Recovery Specialists, and has physician backup and manageable panel sizes. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no nights, weekends, or on-call duties and one protected hour built into each day. This is a W-2 salaried position with a stated salary range of $70,000–$80,000 and a 5% monthly bonus structure based on clinic KPIs. The role includes clinical supervision, team huddles, care planning, administrative time, and documentation support through Soulside AI. Requirements

Hold an active LCAS license in good standing in North Carolina.
Have strong knowledge of substance use disorder diagnoses, medications, and treatment modalities.
Be able to interact effectively with diverse staff, patients, and community members.
Have excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible can-do mentality, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Be passionate about providing low-barrier, non-punitive, harm-reductionist substance use disorder care.

Responsibilities

Provide individual and group therapy sessions for patients with substance use disorders, in person and via telehealth.
Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Use evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Collaborate with clinic team members, including Advanced Practice Providers, Medical Assistants, and Peer Recovery Specialists, to formulate and carry out integrated patient care plans.
Support patients during crisis interventions and coordinate higher levels of care when necessary.
Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
Identify and advance ways to improve access and care for disadvantaged and marginalized populations.
Model compassion and foster trust and strong relationships with patients and communities.
Educate patients and families about substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and available resources.
Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education.
