LBA Automation Scientist II

AbbVie•Worcester, MA
•$84,500 - $162,000•Onsite

About The Position

The LBA Operations lab within Quantitative Translational & ADME Sciences (QTAS) in Worcester, Massachusetts, seeks an experienced automation scientist to support pre-clinical bioanalytical programs in a non-regulated, fast-paced environment. The role involves bioanalysis of animal samples dosed with large-molecule therapeutics, including pharmacokinetic (PK), toxicokinetic (TK), pharmacodynamic (PD), and anti-drug-antibody (ADA) studies using manual and automated Meso Scale Discovery (MSD) assay protocols. It also involves designing and optimizing automation protocols for ligand-binding assay (LBA) workflows on Tecan and Hamilton liquid handlers. The Scientist I/II develops and executes bioanalytical strategies for PK, PD, TK, and ADA studies using automated liquid-handling systems. This lab-based role covers assay design, planning, data interpretation, and applying automation expertise to expand analytical capabilities supporting oncology, immunology, and neuroscience portfolios. The role calls for a strong background in bioanalysis, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related field, along with bioanalytical assay automation experience. The position is onsite at the AbbVie Bioresearch Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, chemistry, or pharmacology and 7 or more years of industry experience, or a master’s degree or equivalent and 5 or more years of experience.
  • Experience conducting PK/PD/TK bioanalysis on antibodies, bi-/multi-specifics, and/or antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), including data interpretation.
