About The Position

The Automation Scientist performs automated ELISAs and other plate-based assays, including cell-based assays, on vaccine products, process intermediates, and related experimental samples in a high-throughput environment. The role includes executing testing and analyzing data according to applicable methods and procedures; preparing reagents, solutions, and culture media; maintaining cell lines; and verifying volumes to confirm automated liquid handlers are suitable for method readiness. The position also supports general laboratory upkeep and requires maintaining clean, organized work areas and records and test results in accordance with good manufacturing practices (GMP).

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific concentration.
Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
1–2 years of related laboratory experience, including ELISAs, aseptic techniques, and cell culture techniques.
Experience with automation equipment and software, including Tecan, Dynamic Devices, Biotek washers, dispensers and imagers, and Cellario software.

Responsibilities

Perform automated ELISAs and other plate-based assays, including cell-based assays, on vaccine products, process intermediates, and related experimental samples in a high-throughput environment.
Execute testing and analyze data according to appropriate test methods and procedures.
Prepare and aliquot reagents.
Prepare solutions and culture media, and maintain cell lines.
Perform volume verification (Artel) to confirm automated liquid handlers are suitable for method readiness.
Assist with general laboratory upkeep and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Maintain records and test results following good manufacturing practices (GMP).
