About The Position

Owens Corning is seeking dynamic individuals to join their local team in North Platte, NE. This role involves operating as a Layup Operator, contributing to the production of building products. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow production schedules, and adherence to safety protocols. Team members will be responsible for various tasks related to material handling and processing.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and be at least 18 Years Old
• Must be able to read and interpret production tickets
• Must be able to read a tape measure and have basic math skills
• Work safely and follow all plant rules
• Show initiative, be a self-starter
• Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner
• Ability to multi-task
• Work independently, as well as part of a team, and have shift flexibility
• Read a tape measure and do basic math

Nice To Haves

• Preferably one year experience in a manufacturing setting
• Think under pressure, make quick and strategic decisions
• Operate a computer and Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Get correct stile and rail carts to line
• Perform first piece checks
• Feed materials through glue spreader per the production schedule
• All other assigned duties
