About The Position

Isola is hiring a B Shift Lay-Up Operator at its Chandler, Arizona location. The role operates automated equipment to build laminate master sheets for pressing. The operator verifies that the prepreg and copper materials match the press plan, that the required number of sheets is built for each order, and that the correct number of books is prepared for each press load. The schedule is 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Sunday through Tuesday, plus every other Saturday. Overtime, including extended shifts and weekend work, is required. Compensation is $24 per hour plus a $2 per hour shift differential. The role is designated Skill Level C. Candidates should be efficient, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and able to work independently as well as contribute to a team. Internal applicants must meet the stated eligibility requirements, including completion of the 90-day probationary period unless otherwise approved, good standing, and ongoing satisfactory performance, conduct, attendance, and policy compliance. The work may require standing for up to 12 hours per shift, frequent bending, reaching, and grasping, and lifting, pulling, or pushing up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

Prior machine operating experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with work instructions, work orders, and ERP systems.
Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

Verify the work order and ensure the selected material matches it.
Set up, program, and operate automated equipment according to customer requirements and work-order direction.
Verify that the correct prepreg and copper materials are used according to the press plan.
Build the required number of sheets for each order and the correct number of books for each press load.
Accurately transact material in and out of the SAP inventory tracking system and report material discrepancies.
Report anticipated issues, work stoppages, equipment downtime, and other workflow problems or interruptions to the operations leader.
Perform other duties as assigned.
