Requirements

Holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)
Has been a member of the Bar for at least 3 years
Has 3 to 5 years of experience in litigation
Is fluent in French and has an advanced level of English, as the role involves regular communication and presentations with internal and external clients across Canada on a weekly basis

Has knowledge of the legislative and regulatory environment related to insurance and/or wealth management (a strong asset)
Is recognized for their collaborative mindset and team spirit

Responsibilities

Represent the Company and its subsidiaries in mediations and hearings before various civil and administrative tribunals in matters related to labour law, insurance law, and wealth management
Advise the Company and its subsidiaries on litigation matters under your responsibility
Support and assist external counsel, when required, on matters outside the department’s scope
Contribute to the improvement of methods and processes
Provide legal opinions
