Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in family law, with a focus on divorce, child custody, and high asset complex cases.
You know the statutes like the back of your hand.
Courtroom Presence. You view the courtroom as your second home and have the trial record to prove it.
Mindset. You are proactive, not reactive. You look for solutions before problems arise.
Communication. You can explain complex legal jargon to a stressed client with empathy and clarity.
Ability to draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and marital settlement agreements with precision.
Proven track record of representing clients in court proceedings, demonstrating strong advocacy skills.
Comfortable working collaboratively with paralegals and senior partners to ensure efficient case management.
Strong organizational skills to maintain and update client files accurately and promptly.
Experience in handling the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings.
Ability to remain composed and negotiate effectively in high-stress, emotionally charged situations involving sensitive legal issues.

Responsibilities

Lead the Charge: Take primary responsibility for a diverse caseload, including high-net-worth divorce, complex custody battles, and intricate asset division.
Be the Strategist: Develop creative, winning litigation and settlement strategies that others might miss.
Mentor & Grow: Act as a go-to resource for associates and help shape the firm's culture and processes.
Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations, ensuring their rights and interests are protected.
Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, including prenuptial agreements, divorce petitions, and parenting plans.
Provide clear, compassionate guidance to clients navigating sensitive family law matters, fostering trust and understanding.
Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
Collaborate with colleagues and external experts to build strong cases and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Maintain detailed case files and documentation, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Advocate for clients in high-stress situations, using negotiation and conflict resolution skills to reach amicable solutions when possible.
