About The Position

The Lawn and Garden Delivery Driver/Clean-Up safely delivers lawn and garden and agricultural equipment to customers and between dealership locations, loads and unloads equipment, and prepares equipment for display and customer delivery. The role also supports dealership operations by maintaining the sales lot, performing grounds maintenance and janitorial duties, and operating and maintaining dealership vehicles, tools, and equipment. The employee is expected to follow safety policies, document time and materials accurately, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The position reports to the Service Manager and/or Store Manager and supervises no employees. It is non-exempt. The stated hourly pay range is $17 to $22; actual pay depends on factors including location and qualifications. In season, the schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Saturday hours from 7 a.m. to noon on a rotation. Off-season/winter hours, from November through March, are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours may be extended during peak seasons to meet store needs, and seasonal schedule dates and hours may change.

Requirements

General knowledge of agricultural equipment operation.
Ability to safely operate vehicles, tools, and equipment.
Ability to repeatedly lift up to 75 pounds and climb on large agricultural equipment.
Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and attention to detail.
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employment.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Pass a DOT physical and renew certification annually as a condition of continued employment.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification or experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely deliver lawn and garden and agricultural equipment to customers and between dealership locations.
Load and unload equipment for deliveries and transfers.
Wash, clean, and prepare equipment for display and customer delivery.
Organize and maintain the sales lot, including tracking equipment transfers.
Perform grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and snow removal.
Perform general janitorial duties, including taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning store areas, and maintaining clean restrooms.
Operate and maintain dealership vehicles, tools, and equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all safety policies and accurately document time and materials used.
Perform other duties as assigned.
